KTMB (or check out www.ktmb.com.my) is our rail operator in Malaysia, their business includes freight, logistics, warehouse, commuter and etc. Its annual revenue from ticketing is over 50 million and Longbow Technologies Sdn Bhd developed the Automatic Fare Collection System (AFC) which provides the new Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) and Access Control Gate (ACG).
This set of access solution will be used for second entrance. The total stations involved is 7 in Klang Valley. All reports of sales and activity in captured are synchronized to KTM HQ via existing network infrastructure.

National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF)

NKF is a non-profit charitable organization, providing dialysis treatment to the Malaysians who are suffering from end stage renal failure (kidney failure). Longbow Technologies Sdn Bhd developed Patient Care System (PCS), which integrates seamlessly with the Microsoft Great Plains financial system. With this system, NKF is able to consolidate all patient information throughout the 16 branches and still expanding in Malaysia. Besides patient information, NKF is able to streamline their sponsorship, inventory, dialysis process, social assessment activities and complex billing process which at times may cover patients, sponsors & donors. This new infrastructure and solutions allow NKF to have the fastest time-to-market to tackle their day-to-day operation headache. |

Ngiu Kee Sdn. Bhd.
Retail Industry
Ngiu Kee is one of the oldest (KLSE second board listed) retail chains in East Malaysia, having 12 branches throughout Sabah and Sarawak. In this project, Longbow Technologies Sdn Bhd worked together with the in-house development team of Ngiu Kee to develop the EPOS (front end point-of-sale system). EPOS is developed using the latest Microsoft technology, .NET Framework due to its superior short development period and high performance workaround. The solution is running on Microsoft database server, SQL Server 2000 due to its superb performance and ease of maintenance as also to leverage on Ngiu Kee existing investment.
The solution integrates seamlessly with Ngiu Kee back-end Retail Server, RRP for daily inventory refresh and sales consolidation. Its 12 branch chain stores posed as a challenge as sales are needed to be continuously consolidated via the internet. Hence, Web services technology is leveraged on to ease the demand of allowing 12 branch’s in-house servers to consume (upload summarized sales and loyalty information) web services exposed at Ngiu Kee HQ in lightning fast turn-around time. |

The interaction between the driver built and the suppliers platform is through XML. |

The jewel of its crown is Genting Highlands Resort, in which Resorts World owns, develops and manages. The resort offers a wide array of quality leisure and entertainment that encompass hotels, gaming, entertainment and food & beverage facilities. Among them are linked by one standard loyalty program known as Genting Worldcard which to date has over 1 million members within Asia. Joint development of eGenting and Longbow Technologies Sdn Bhd is responsible for its fast and smooth redemption and point transaction at all 18 custom-built kiosk machines within the Casino area. Weekly transaction may exceed 8000 at initial stage. Our presence ensures expected level of performance and concurrency issues are avoided and mitigation planning took place to avoid customer satisfaction discontent. |

Longbow Technologies Sdn Bhd is strategically engaged with GAB along with its SAP consulting firm Magnus Management to build a web portal that integrates with GAB SAP system. The web portal comprises the purchasing process which is designed and developed in more user-friendly and summarized manner to cut down training time to PO requestors through out GAB. |

Longbow Technologies Sdn Bhd as the integrator provider has been assigned to build a system integrator for Digi in integrating its internal backend system with an external party system in for sharing information purpose in binary file format. Reporting is incorporated to display the information which being inserted from the external system into the backend system. |

Westport is malaysia advanced and multi function port that process 1.5 million containers or TEU annually. Due to its nature of deep water vessel support and strategic location at pulau indah, it is in the plan to increase the TEU to 3 million by year 2006. As such, the efforts of increasing the internal capability to support and operate at the new level has to be carefully considered and planned. One of the initiative is to automate human-repetitive activities such as submission of container list for discharge and loading.
Longbow Technologies Sdn Bhd and Collatra have jointly developed the web-based portal that automates the submission of documents from myriad of shippers via internet connectivity. The portal has the engine to process information contained in different type of documents like Excel, CSV, Flat file and EDI files before I can furnish and verify the information. The processed information is then integrated with Westport backend system on IBM platform. The technologies utilized to develop and operate the solution are Microsoft SQL server 2000, ASP.NET., COM+ transactional services and windows 2003 Servers. |
